Are you looking for a way to make a difference by volunteering? Volunteers are a critical resource for the Center for African-American Health. We are always looking for volunteers for a variety of jobs. For example:
- We need medical professionals (physicians, dentists, nurses, dieticians and others with medical backgrounds) to help with free health screenings and to give talks on health care topics.
- We need volunteers to work at special events, such as our annual health fair in February and our annual Destination Health 5K Walk/Run & Health Expo each summer.
- We need volunteers to be lay leaders for a number of our programs, such as our diabetes self-management class and senior fall prevention workshop.
And if you're between 47 and 65 years of age, ask us about a special volunteer opportunity, "Boomers Leading Change in Health," a partnership between the Center for African-American Health and Rose Community Foundation. Training and support are provided to individuals who participate in this new volunteer program.
To volunteer for these or other opportunities, call the Center at 303-355-3423 or send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, contact information, and your particular interest in volunteering.
