Wafa Saeed

Wafa Saeed is a strong community leader, advocate, and entrepreneur. She began her college career at the University of Colorado Denver where she earned her 3 undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry, Psychology, and Communications, then her masters in Biochemistry. She began her event company Weddings by Wafa where she coordinated weddings, corporate, and community events. The success of her business has allowed her to work alongside multiple non-profit organizations as well as the City of Denver, where she planned and executed numerous events highlighting Islam and the Sudanese culture.

In addition to her professional work, Wafa is a mentor for high school girls across Colorado through the Especially Me organization, and as a mentor for the Al-Sudaniya Mentorship Program assisting girls in Sudan. Her passion in helping people is visibly displayed in her advocacy and community involvement. Wafa joined The Center for African American Health to unite her love of coordinating and her passion for furthering the community. As the Development Assistant, she hopes to increase awareness for The Center and strengthen community relationships and involvement through the Health Fair and Destination Health.
