2010 Health Fair Sets Another Attendance Record Close to 1,200 people participated in the Center for African-American Health's 8th Annual Health Fair on January 30, setting yet another attendance record for the highly-popular event. The free health screenings, which ranged from blood screenings, clinical breast exams, and free dental exams to glucose screenings, Pap smears and EKGs, were provided by more than 350 volunteers. In addition, participants benefitted from health information provided by 75 exhibitors, as well as workshops on topics including colon cancer awareness and emergency preparedness. The health fair was made possible with generous support from the Caring for Colorado Foundaton, Health ONE/Rose Medical Center, Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver-Rocky Mountain Association of Black Psychologiest, Colorado Council of Black Nurses and the Western Dairy Association, among others.
